“Florian Wittenburg, a good German, as well as a musician, is also a great traveler and a keen observer of nature that surrounds us. So this new disc is in part inspired by a call of an African Fish Eagle, which he heard in Namibia, and partly by the structure of a weeping willow seen in the garden of his parents. The two striking pieces that divide Eagle Prayer are played on the piano, with trills, resonances and extensive use of silences...Willow Tree? is conducted instead by the liquidity of a synth which extend the performances of narrator John Devitt (recited poems: Epitaph and Glass). To act as a link there is another piece for piano, very melancholic, where the White Tree is possibly referring to a tree covered with snow (I like to think) and two long electronic pieces (Koninklijk Arpeggio and p2s2p ...). The first has a very melodic opening and closing theme and a central part which is more rhythmic and has Andean colorings.
